Sketching at the Museum
Sunday, April 7, 2013
Rio de Janeiro recently has received a brand new Museum completely dedicated to the Wonderful City.
Right now one of the exhibitions opened is "Rio de Janeiro in Images, a Landscape under Construction".
It is about 400 works depicting a panorama of the collective construction of the city landscape thoughout 19th ,20th and 21st centuries. There are paintings, photos, and video instalations. It was wonderful visiting Gustavo Dallara, João Batista da Costa, Bruno Lechowski, Eliseu Visconti, Timotheo da Costa and so many other masters who shared with us their views of the city.
I could not resist sketching in front of those amazing originals!
